I was commissioned as a freelance artist by Tapps Games to recreate and polish several background environments for Card Guardians, a mobile roguelike card game. My task was to maintain the game’s established visual identity ensuring my new backgrounds integrated seamlessly with the existing character and UI assets.

The Creative Pipeline
I provided the Art Director with three distinct sketch thumbnails to explore different compositions. Once a direction was approved, I moved forward to the final painting phase, ensuring every detail aligned with the project's vision.
Final Environment Assets
The final renders focus on clean line work and a whimsical fantasy color palette. Each piece was delivered engine-ready, optimized to bring the world of Card Guardians to life across various mobile devices.
